Synology DS713+ Diskless System Robust & Scalable NAS Server DiskStation

Pros: Stable, reliable, dependable
Very well designed
Relatively easy setup
LOADED with features
Don't panic, it's not windows!
Expandable and quick

Cons: A tad pricey
Some of the features could use a bit of documentation, this is definitely NOT for the average clueless computer user
Requires a fair amount of basic computer and networking knowledge to use it effectively
Doesn't make my coffee for me ;)

Other Thoughts: No regrets!! This is my second Synology NAS product and I simply can not recommend Synology products highly enough! This little box just sits in the corner and WORKS! Flawlessly! For months at a time, without issues. Well worth taking the time to research and learn about, spend a few days reading their forums and ask questions, you won't be disappointed once you learn what this thing can do for you.

Pros: Fast, upgradable, excellent interface

Cons: Drops off the network all the time.

Other Thoughts: Don't spend the money. I am looking for a replacement...

Pros: Easy to use & setup, Features that are supplied are great,
I have setup many different brands & find this one to be this easiest, Wide range of compatible Hard Drives. I used WesternDigitals Enterpise Drives (RE4's)

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I have run into some backup software that was not compatible,But ended up using Synology Data Replicator which was extremely easy to use but only allowed one scheduled backup.

Pros: Awesome product! Synology's product is top notch both in hardware and software.

Cons: Newegg's price for this is much higher than competitors. Your better off saving $60+ by purchasing this elsewhere.
