Comments: Let me start by saying I wholeheartedly recommend this product for its reliability and performance. I'm using a FIRST generation 10k rpm, 9GB Cheetah from 1999 (800 bucks back then). It has been powered up 24/7/365, with exception of short system upgrade downtimes. I think part of the key to my old Cheetahs success has been by keeping it running, not forcing daily spin-ups and heat-up/cool-down periods, which could allow micro build up to damage the drive. I've also kept the drive adaquately cooled. Anyway, the newer Cheetahs are a very mature product and you should enjoy years of reliability.

Comments: AWESOME drive. I have a pair of these, and they work fine in UltraWide(SE), Ultra2(LVD), and Ultra3(160) modes. No reason to bust the budget for a U320 card, these are fast enough as it is. Very relaible, very fast, but my favourite part is the noise- there isn't any. You can hear the drives spinning up on boot (they ARE 10k rpm, after all), but unlike IDE drives, there's no rumbling/clicking during reads/writes. Power consumption is very low, too. This drive may be a lot more expensive than a IDE drive of comparible size, but the quality is more than worth it, if you have the cash to spare. Seagate+SCSI is the way to go!

Comments: I've been using this drive for almost 2 years now.. no complaints, no crashes. very fast too.

Comments: I both 3 drives and had them now for about 7 months. I can now say that this drive is great. It is fast and stable. I use them in system for development and (knock on wood) I haven't had any problems.

Comments: No compatibility problems here. I have two of these on an Adaptec 29160 and I installed WinXP Pro on them with no problems. XP installed the correct driver (Generic Adaptec 29160) and it's been great ever since. No worries about drivers for the latest inferior SATA chip or ITE garbage. SCSI at this price is the way to go. Unblievable.

Comments: Nice SCSI drive, excellent warranty, very fast, installed flawlessly in old Dell Power Edge 1300.
