Very buggy - a disgrace to Netgear
- Pros: Good for only the simplest setups.
- Cons: If you plan for more than one user, creating shares, or doing anything beyond the basic, then prepare for a buggy, untested interface. This NAS is so broken, it doesn't even merit "Beta" status.
- Other Thoughts: Netgear's support was poor. Problems unresolved after two months.
Great Little NAS
- Pros: Easy setup and so many features it has somthing for every one. Very easy to to add storage I added two more 750 GB hard drives one at a time. This is fully automatiic! It was also very easy to upgrade the memory from 256mb to 1gb in about 10-min. Many addons and if you are into development of your own addons it is easy to set that up too. I am enjoyed the easy setup and nearly silent operation. I real big winner in the low cost entry level NAS or the advanced home user.
- Cons: Nome that I can find.
- Other Thoughts: I also own a New ReadyNAS DUO and it may be a better buy for home use with RAID 1 only (No RAID 0)

Introduction
The RND4275 from Netgear is a 4-bay network storage enclosure that will grow as your needs do. The 4 hot swappable bays support SATA and SATA II hard drives. Two 750GB drives are already installed and configured so you're ready to go right out of the box. Add capacity with the 3 USB 2.0 ports, or attach a printer and let the print server handle your network's print jobs. A 256MB memory module speeds up operations, and indicator LEDs and a 2 line LCD display let you monitor status.
There's built in support for RAID levels 0, 1 and 5, or take advantage of the patent pending X-RAID technology to future-proof your system. Add drives as necessary and swap out smaller drives for larger as your needs increase. X-RAID will handle it all automatically; no more buying a second enclosure full of drives and transferring all of the data manually.
The ReadyNAS NV+ is also a fully featured media server with UPnP AV and SlimServer support. It's also Windows MCE compatible so all of your PCs on the network can access the media files from a central location. HTTP/S and FTP/S support lets you access the device from anywhere you have internet access.
