Period. Support tells you this when you call. Other Thoughts: Make sure you review the hardware compatibility list on the Netgear site before you buy it. If the drive you have is not listed, it won't work. If I can't get a 1 year old drive to work in it, how can you replace a drive in the future. Did you find this review helpful? Pros: Small, quiet

Cons: Hardware compatibility list on the Netgear site is very specific, and won't run non-listed drives. Period. Support tells you this when you call.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you review the hardware compatibility list on the Netgear site before you buy it. If the drive you have is not listed, it won't work. If I can't get a 1 year old drive to work in it, how can you replace a drive in the future.
