Pros: Used two of these drives in a mirror RAID-1 as storage for important data. Has worked flawlessly for 4 years now, and never had to rebuild the RAID.
Cons: Sometimes can make vibration noises in tool-less cases. Tighten them down with screws instead, if your tool-less rails are too loose.
Other Thoughts: I'll definitely buy more of these

Other Thoughts: these a more reliable than an ssd drive and at the time I bought it , they were low cost $40

Cons: These drives have strange noise issues and then die unexpectedly. I pulled one of these out of customers HP Omni PC and ran smart tests. Bios does not even see it. Their machine is only about a month old.
Other Thoughts: Has any one attempted a repair on these. I believe it may have a board issue , possibly there is a fault in the circuit board and that may be repaired. Customer may need data recovery if they cannot get it from backups.

Pros: none
Cons: DOA, had cracked sata port new egg said not covered under warrenty. Advised me to return to WD for repair. been buying from newegg for many years, 20 or so , never again, will drive the 26 miles to local store and inspect. Can't believe this, after all these years. Guess first time for everything.
