Cons: Died after 2 weeks. Maybe powered on for 10hrs total. Completely dead. I will RMA this, newegg will replace it, and I will have a spare 160GB drive I will not trust.
Other Thoughts: I build PC's as a side business of mine to help pay for school. Of several vendors, newegg often comes out on par if not cheaper than the competition for the volume I end up ordering in. Profit margins are very small, especially on budget builds with drives such as these. This drive completely died in a client PC after 2 weeks. It is used to check email once a day and it is then powered off. Thank goodness this user backuped their docs because all would have been lost. This is not acceptible. I have 3 WD drives in my server now, running 24/7 for 1, 2, and 3 years. Never had a problem. I have had to replace notebook WD drives from some OEM manufactures more than other drives, but in desktops I always trusted them. I'm stuck ordering a new drive to minimize client downtime while RMA this one. So much for making money on this build!

Pros: Great price, fast enough, great for a cheap build for the in-laws.
Cons: Unfortunately, after 3 months of ownership, this drive decided it didn't want to boot anymore. Windows startup repair cited master boot record corruption and a complete format, partition deletion and repartitioning didn't solve the issues. Since I'm not the primary user, I'm not sure what could have caused this, or if it was just a faulty drive.
Other Thoughts: WD is a great company and was awesome about sending out a new one right away. Still waiting for the replacement, and I'm sure this was just a fluke. I still gave 4 eggs because this is the first time I've ever had a problem with a WD drive.
