Pros: This replaced a dead drive on my Dell Inspiron laptop. So easy to install, worked right away. Still works great after a year and my laptop is on a whole lot. It just works and I barely notice it, which is what I want from a hard drive. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Pros: Western Digital drives are by far the best drives out there. I NEVER buy anything else but Western Digital. Yes they do have failures, as do all drives, but in my 30+ years, I can definitely say they are the sturdiest drives out there.

Pros: arrives in a sealed anti-static bag.

Cons: Unable to format in 64 or 32 bit Windows: Linux can format it FAT32 but nobody can write to it....Then come to find out I have to call WD for support! Newegg knows these drives tend bad and even tho mine is DOA they don't offer refund/replace. Watch out - buyer beware!
