Pros: Very reliable. Has lasted for 5 years without even a hiccup.

Cons: 8MB cache isn't ideal for gaming, not their fault I didn't understand that 5 years ago.

Other Thoughts: Became the bottle neck in my rig until I went SSD. Now it functions as a storage drive quite well.

Pros: I've been using this drive as a boot drive for four and a half years now and it's still going strong.

Other Thoughts: Can't wait till I can get an SSD and relegate this drive to official storage drive duty.

Pros: Excellent drive! Have owned for 5yrs now and drive is still rock solid!

*Using it as a media drive over network.

Cons: Wish I bought 3 more at the time, ugh!

Other Thoughts: I've had issues in the past with Western Digital Drives and wasn't sure about purchasing the brand again. I am glad I gave them a second chance! One of the best drives I have ever owned. Will continue to purchase WD products.

Pros: Using 2 of these in software RAID config on ClearOS. Works flawlessly.

Cons: Should have bought 3 instead of 2 drives.

Other Thoughts: Used in a server for RAID on an Intel D525 system with ClearOS 5.2. Absolutely no problems and very responsive.

Pros: High Quality.

Lasted almost 4 years as a RAID 10 array in a 24/7 Server environment.

Cons: I am down 1 drive.

Other Thoughts: Bought 5 Drives 8/26/2008, I received my first failure this week. These drives have lasted so long after running almost 4 years running 24/7 as a RAID Array.

Good Job Western Digital, I just bought 4 1TB RE4 to replace these after these have lasted so well.
