Pros: This hard drive is my third bus powered drive that goes with me everywhere and is my favorite. The port is still solid which is more than I can say for the others. It travels well. There is a cover to prevent dust and such from getting into the port. I use it for mp3s and mp4s and everything plays right from the drive with ease. I use it strictly with a mac. She never gets too hot. This transfer rate compares to all of my other drives pretty well. It is small sleek and can withstand traveling with a bachelor on a bicycle, daily, for five months. If I never find a better drive relative to the tech age, I'll die a happy man.
Cons: The drawbacks are: The only connect is a mini usb, so don't forget your chord. There is no case, so I hope you're delicate with it or get your crafty lady-friend (or man-friend) to make one for you.
Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this drive to all who need to be portable, Especially on the move city-folk like myself. In closing, if this is what you are looking for, your search is over.

Learn binary arithmetic

Pros: This drive is excellent. ecto needs to learn binary arithmetic. 250GB equals 232GB * (1024 ^ 3). This cryptic formula is what drive manufactures (ALL) have used for years to make their drives seem bigger - it's called MARKETING.
Cons: Very few. Drive is rugged, quite and capable. A bit slow, but that is like all 5400 rpm drives.

Does not work in Linux

Pros: No need for extra USB cable to power. Small sleek and cool looking.
Cons: Does not work in Linux Ubuntu 9.10 If you want to transfer data between Linux and Windows avoid this drive.
Other Thoughts: First drive I have ever encounter that is not recognized in Linux. How hard is it to make it Linux compatible? Really? It seems they took EXTRA steps to make it Linux incompatible. Oh well, live and learn.

Pros: The drive is compact and quiet
Cons: The cable could be longer and the cable connection to the drive is kind of loose. The light comes on but the Windows will not recognize the drive unless the cable is in correctly.
