Die after one year!

Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year

Pros: Relatively quiet, easy set up

Cons: THEY DIE AFTER ONE YEAR. This worked pretty well for about a year, but right after my warranty dies this hard drive bites the dust--causing my tivo to randomly freeze and reboot. I removed the drive and no more problems. Wish I didn't waste over $100 (when this first came out) on this!

Other Thoughts: Not very happy.

Other Thoughts: I bought one about 2 years ago. It worked fine with my Tivo for the first 10 months or so, then my Tivo started to reboot randomly. After weeks of troubleshooting, I tried unplugging the MyDVR Expander and the problems disappeared. I got it replaced under warranty. About 14 months later the replacement drive went bad and caused my Tivo to crash again. I pulled the second drive and the problems went away again. I would not buy another unless Western Digital ups the warranty to three years or more.
