1 out of 5 eggsGood performance but ....

Pros: Fast and quite drive, not expensive.

Cons: First one started lagging then bad blocks came up, replaced under the warranty. Now second one (replacement) has same symptoms. Replacing it again.

Other Thoughts: When it is still under warranty is ok but at least I have all my info backed up.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!

Pros: I purchased these to replace a pair of WD 250 GB 5400 RPM drives in an Asus G50 series ROG laptop that I purchased for one of my customers 4 years ago.

Worked perfectly! Setup the RAID, now has a 640GB partition, reinstalled the OS and it runs faster now than it did new with the old drives.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The old drives had failed due to high heat and vibration damage. Unit was a trade in for another system, so I repaired it with 2 of these drives. Performs much better than it did with the old drives, even new out of the box (7200 vs 5400 on the old)

I have bought these drives before in both 320 and 500 gb sizes for various customers. ALL have been happy and worked perfectly without problems. And a 5 year warranty is a major plus!

3 out of 5 eggsTest it

Pros: Nice, fast, and a good price

Cons: Errors. Won't pass the hard drive diagnostic program in a clients HP laptop. Returning.

Other Thoughts: Just luck of the draw, unfortunately the person whose computer I was upgrading decided to say hell with it and will skip the hard drive upgrade and wants a refund.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked great!

Pros: Installed in laptop
Installed Windows 7 Ultimate (15 minutes)
Received a 5.9 WEI (Highest for mechanical drives)
Silent operation.

All in all, a great product!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Whether you're modding an Xbox 360 HDD bay, or simply replacing a broken or slow HDD in a laptop, don't pass this one up.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for replacement HDD

Pros: 7200 rpm is a noticeable difference in performance compared to the 5400's most laptops come with these days. I understand the need for battery life and less rpm's = less power to spin the pallets.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I like WD, I always recommend them when people ask what HDD to get. Reliable, cost efficient, and always just plug it in and Bob's your uncle.

5 out of 5 eggsVery quiet

Pros: It's fast but not any faster than the Hitachi HDD I replaced. But it is so quiet you can not here it loading at all. Have bought many Western Digital HDD's and have never had any problems with any.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsIdeal Purchase

Pros: 7200 RPM + 16MB CACHE = Faster Seek, Read, and Write
320GB is the exact size I was looking for (see Other Thoughts)

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a 320GB HDD to convert for use in an Xbox 360 Slim. This one fit the bill and has been working perfectly since I converted it's security sectors to Xbox standards.
