I like how it is heavier than other drives. I don't know if weight is a sign of quality, but it feels sturdier somehow. Cons: First one I got had trouble loading OS. Failed SMART test (indicating iminent drive failure). I RMA'd it for a replacement, but I had to pay shipping. I could have got a bigger drive with that money... Not the quietest drive. Other Thoughts: I learned an important lesson here: Always test your equipment as soon as you get it. I noticed that the second drive was packaged better than the first one that failed. The first one was just bubble-wrapped and sitting on top of the packing peanuts. The second one was in a padded box within a box. I wish you could request the good packing option. That as fast as a 5400 rpm laptop . I got this disk as a replacement from another 750GB the old model of WD7500AALS .The old one was a bit faster on access time 14ms and slower on max transfer speed70+MB/s Other Thoughts: WD is very nice regarding RMA .For more than 10 years I use their products and I think they are the most reliable one for internal as well for portable hard drive. 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
