Pros: 500 GB for so little money it's obscene. For my HP Pavilion notebook I just had to take out 2 screws and mount a carrier bracket (from the old drive to the new) and swap the adapter plug. That took about 3 minutes.
No issues with BIOS or installing, the best drive for the money.

Cons: My computer doesn't cool very well as it is so the drive gets a bit toasty after a while, but not nearly as bad as the old unit.

Other Thoughts: It's the best deal for the money yet.

Pros: I just installed this on my 3 year old MacBook. I use my computer daily for about 8 hours. I have experienced no problems with the fan (i.e. it is not constantly running like some of the pro's do). This was very easy to install. You just need a #8 torx for the MacBook. Highly recommended, runs like a champ.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Do remember to have someplace to put your old hard drive.

Pros: Nothing besides being a Western Digital, a preconceived notion for quality products

Cons: The drive would not be recognized by the BIOS. Kept getting a DST failure all the time. DST failure usually, as per industry expert, is a defective drive or failure. Overall, not happy with this purchase and am getting a refund
