Pros: Easy install and formatting. Have no problems so far. I am using them in a Raid1 for My Documents.

Cons: None. Price is higher than Seagate, but they have already lasted longer.

Other Thoughts: Bought these to replace two 1T Seagates that I ran in a raid1. One of the Seagate drives started 'clicking' after a couple of days. Sent them both back to NewEgg for refund.

Fantastic value but noisy

Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Excellent performance. My W2K8 R2 home server boots up in less than 30 seconds to desktop, while my older 250GB WD used to take 1 min or more.

Cons: NOISY! I have 6 hard drives (all 7200 rpm drives from WD, Maxtor and Seagate) and 5 fans (80, 90 and 120mm) in my home server and the read/write clicks on this drive is the only thing that is very clearly audible 10-15 feet away. Pretty annoying when watching videos on low volume.

Other Thoughts: I purposely bought this drive to be used as a boot drive as I already had 1.5TB disks for storage. It serves that purpose admirably. Its pretty fast considering that a Virtual Machine is also hosted on the drive in addition to the windows partition. If not for the clicking noise, I would have given it 5 stars

Cons: all hard drives will eventully gtta die( mine not yet but it should b a long tyme)
nothin rlly wrong with THIS hard drive except that its got less then 100gb left...
price... but its worth it....

Other Thoughts: i got 2 inb my comp.... 1 for main partition n othr 4 movies/shows storage now i need another hdd (under 100gb free)...
