DOA
- Pros: Quiet, inexpensive and large capacity when it works.
- Cons: Upon receiving product it took 4 attempts to get formatted. After formatting the computer flashed numerous errors and suggested running checkdisk which ran 2 days then aborted with read errors. Hopefully the RMA process goes well and the new drive works better.

- Cons: does not format at advetised size (always bugged me on hard drives).
- Other Thoughts: K, so here is the thing. I am not expert, but have built 7-10 puters.
Bought two of these for HTPC, packaging & delivery time acceptable.
Have a slide in cradle for hard drives, slide it in (only tried in XP not 7) and wait….
Had to manage computer, device manager, scan for hardware changes to get disk recognized (weird right?).
Then format it from disk manager (I always do the long format on new hard drive)…took 8+ hours, Still have one to do tonight, then test with W/D software.
- Pros: Does exactly what I need it to do; store in excess of 1.5 TB of data.
- Cons: Is not fast, but I knew that long before hitting 'Checkout'.
- Other Thoughts: I would have bought this drive's similarly priced 64 MB cache brother if it weren't for a discount code offered on this drive at the time of purchase.
