Pros: They were nicely packaged and arrived promptly.

Cons: I bought 2 of these drives and they were both DOA.
My raid controller recognized then but said they needed a low level format. I did that (Took all day).
When finished, it still said the weren't initialized.
I own 2 others from a few years ago. One of those is also bad. (WD never again)

Pros: Have used many of these.... 2 dead over a few years... I'd estimate I've ordered a hundred so pretty normal missrate.

Cons: works yay

Pros: Nada. Junk.

Cons: Six drives, three DOA. Two are WD, one SGT. Meanwhile, two and three year old Samsung and Hitachi drives spin on. WDC and Seagate, what has happened to you? One egg is too high but there are no fractions.

Other Thoughts: Purchased 5/17. Shipped 5/21. Arrived 5/23. RMA cost to return $11.28. I am done with mail order HDDs. At least I can drive 30 minutes to the local mega store and get a same day exchange.

Pros: ~Quite a large storage for personal uses.
~No failures.

Cons: ~Could be a bit faster. Not much to do about that, though, HDD's have their limits.

Other Thoughts: Might not be worth it in a few years when SSD production is cheaper and drops in price. As for now, if you need a large storage for whatever you desire, it'll pass until SSD's fully roll in to the lower-price zone.

Pros: Purchased several to build office computer systems and after nearly 2 years of 9-5 M-F usage have had no issues whatsoever.

Cons: Not the fastest drive available, but good for office work.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend. Came back to get some more!

Pros: definitive western digital make trash I use my hard drive for 5 month and dead then I try to return directly with Western Digital Warranty and a soon as I send they return me the hard drive and void the warranty without any explanation so if you need a hard drive use Samsung best quality and the warranty is the best

Newegg was great about the RMA.

Cons: Worse than DOA, it lasted long enough to backup and store some data and died on next start up.
Reformatted, but with 100+ slow writes/reads on a 'new drive'... no thanks.

Pros: Fast, stable, solid, and quiet.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've used this in a few builds, and it's been working not only for me. But for them as well, even my family has been using them nearly everyday!
