Pros: No pros for items that fail less then a year.

Cons: I bought 2 about 6months apart. First was DOA and didn't know till i built my computer half a year later. The second didn't even last a year. Will not buy and recommend not buying. Friend has bought 2 sense we mirrored our builds and both his didn't last a year ether.

1 out of 5 eggsDrive is Junk

Pros: Reasonably fast.

Cons: I bought 3, two failed right away and were returned. One worked for less than two years and then failed. The RMA drive won't format.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy WD drives. IN recent years they are nothing but trouble. I've lost count of the number I've returned becauise they either were DOA or failed in service.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsWD 2TB Enterprise HD

Pros: None

Cons: Until now, I always thought of Western Digital as a name of quality. Pulled this 2TB WD HD out of my new parts inventory in an effort to build a Server. Oops, the drive would not initiate.....no clicking... nothing....

Other Thoughts: I may have been extremely lucky through my 15 years of building computers, but this is the first drive I have ever had fail to initialize when brand new and placed into service.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Prism, we regret hearing that you received a drive that is not working for you. Our goal is to provide world class customer service, and part of that goal in this situation would be to replace your drive, and investigate the cause relating to the products defect.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst drive I've ever bought

Pros: none

Cons: When I first bought this drive, it had several bad sectors.
RMA #1- got the drive back with lower speeds and HUGE amount of noise
RMA#2- got the drive replaced with a new one(so they said) and got even slower speeds and louder noise from it.
Read/write speeds avg 110/90mb/s

What a waste, I'm not impressed with this product at all.

My 10 year old Hitachi drive runs better then this.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello there, we apologize for the continued inconvenience you have experienced with your drive. Please consider running a diagnostics test on the drive to determine the integrity of your device.

5 out of 5 eggsRMA issues resolved. Loving the drive

Pros: Primary Drive. Boots fast, Operates fast.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I was previously having issues with WD drives, primarily the ones that I would receive as RMA replacements. None were working. Now, after contacting customer support, they sent me a brand new drive, which works like a charm. I can't recommend this enough.
