Pros: I have purchased many WD-Black hard drives, and have not had problems with any of them, that is why I continue to buy them exclusively. When practical I purchase laptop size drives, as they are designed for additional impact resistance.

Pros: Works well, no problems

Cons: Slightly power hungry, but that is expected

Other Thoughts: Running this for 2.5 years now in a MacBook and it is solid. Good drive. Not a single problem. Like many people I've gone through my share of hard drives in various computers over the years and I'm happy to have one that is reliable.

Pros: Very easy to install and setup. Simple plug n play. Works well in an HP Dv6 laptop.

Cons: Doesn't come with a SATA cable.

Other Thoughts: Purchased to replace a faulty HDD in an HP Dv6 laptop. Installed in a few seconds with no issues.

Pros: Bought when on promo, previous Wd loyalty to a terrific brand, great products and no problems......B4 this one!!!

Cons: DEAD wont boot up , Not reconized in BIOS, nor as a USB device. heard a couple of clicks and that's it! More frustration on WD website trying to register to rma it. Not the right time of year for this to happen...

Other Thoughts: Guess it was my turn for a lemon after dozens of flawless WD HDs

Pros: Slim, quiet, good amount of space, 7200 RPM, didn't get too hot in system. 5 year warranty. Worked well when it worked

Cons: didn't last 18months on light to medium use in laptop. data unrecoverable due to full lockup (won't even register as a drive in another OS\system)

Other Thoughts: nice mobile sata drive but even with a 5 year warranty it didn't make it a year and a half. The RMA is now in process so kudo's to WD for at least taking this brick back and replacing it....but it won't replace my data. I couldn't even access any part of the file system when it crashed either....when it dies, it's dead. Never even received a warning or the click of death. I was also running HDD sentinel for anyone who knows what that is. That program less than a week ago told me the drive was in 100% working health so let that be a warning to anyone considering buying this drive. Back your data up, be glad it has a 5 year warranty (you're going to need it), and it very likely will die on you with no warning ahead of time.

It is advisable to ensure you always have at a minimum, two copies of your digital data at all times, to avoid potential data loss, by running regular backups. Backing up your data protects you in case of a computer virus, data corruption, hardware issues, or electrical problems.
