5 out of 5 eggsGood Drive

Pros: Fast, worked, Shipped quickly. Does what a hard drive is supposed to do.

Cons: You can spend an extra 10 bucks and get a 250 GB.

Other Thoughts: I have it in a raid 0. It has been working really well. It was a fast format and a fast install.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive

Pros: Setup was a cinch, good price, lots of room.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This was mt first SerialATA hard drive and I was a little concerned about setting it up. I shouldn't have worried. Plug it in, it was detected right away, and has been working flawlessly ever since. I was even able to mount it side-by-side with my old IDE drive to copy my data onto the new drive. Beautiful!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast, quiet, dependable.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great hard drive. Quiet, fast...I have nothing bad to say. I purchased it at 5:30am (when my original drive crashed) and had it by 3PM the next day. Newegg rocks.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Memory

Pros: Cheap memory. Needed it as a secondary drive to my 74G raptor. Very easy to install.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Buy SATA Cable!

5 out of 5 eggsDependable

Pros: This hard drive has not failed at all. It's had quite a few reformats and has been filled up to 3 free gigabytes. It has yet to crash, though, but I hope it doesn't.

Cons: A SATA power adapter doesn't work with this one. I think it's the lack of the 3.3V rail (orange wire), or maybe some sautering issue. Anyway, I just use the molex plug, and all is well.

Other Thoughts: I run an 80mm fan on this hard drive, so it always runs cool to the touch. I highly recommend active hard drive cooling for all drives because good cooling lengthens the lifespan of a hard drive.

Comments: western digital still makes the top HD's. they won't fail you. this one in particular is much faster, quieter, and reliable. plus, serial ata is the best choice now, and this is made for raid setups anyway.
