Pros: Worked Good With Windows XP

Cons: Failed On Me.First Windows Booted With files missing 5 days after i got it.Second my bios didnt reconize it after 1 day after The first part told above.Last it never powered on again after all above.

Other Thoughts: My Friend got me this on here she was excited to get this for me.I love IDE HHD's fyi.Never Get Maxtor.

Pros: Zero

Cons: *Quickview*, if you have any doubts please research first. I sooo wish I did, this Drive has maybe been the worst decision of my life. Sounds like a lawn mower, blue screen when installing applications in Windows.

Other Thoughts: Thank lord it was only 24.99 *Barf...

Pros: May work well for this hard drives intended application.

Cons: Should be labeled as "Maxtor QuickView 10 6L250R0 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA133 / ATA-7 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive"

I have researched the QuickView hard drives, and I believe that these hard drives were intended for digital video recorders (DVRs), personal video recorders (PVRs), set-top boxes (STBs), and the like.

Other Thoughts: Picture does show as a "QuickView" while it is listed as a "DiamondMax". These are two very different animals.

Pros: Hard drive is decent in price for an old ATA-100.

Cons: The drive is for DVR or multimedia usage as it has no error correction. At least for the one I received, it was not the Diamondmax but the Quickview. Needed to install Windows server 2011, instead, now it only hangs at BIOS screen.

Other Thoughts: Wish it was listed as a DVR drive, or even a Quickview drive, instead of Diamondmax.

Pros: great price - but I guess you get what you pay for!

Cons: I bought it in the begining of february,2012 and april 1st of all day's it starts making a high clicking sound. So I shut down the computer for a hour and started it back up and clicking went away so I did a updated backup. I guess I'll have to keep it up to date.

Other Thoughts: Will I buy from them again? YES Will I buy a recertified product again? probably not

5 out of 5 eggsSeems Good for a "Recertified"

Pros: Okay ... I just received this today .. I cloned my failing hard drive and put this in its place. It's quiet, fast, and IDE . I'm trying to salvage every last day I can out of these old workhorses. A great price for the size of the drive... Yeah, it's "recertified" .. whatever that means .. I just hope it keeps working for a while.

Arrived within 4 days of order... !

Cons: None yet .. fingers crossed
