4 out of 5 eggsPrice ???

Pros: Has worked for 7 years.Yes, 7 years.Flawlessly.Now,when I try to do any kind of data transfer, she's clicking like a turn signal.Bad sign.Luckily,I backup data FREQUENTLY and have two more drives.Unfortunately,my OS is on this one.UGH! Anyway,in 2008,I paid $69.99 for this, and now it's $146.89 ???Same model, same make(I clicked the link in my order history because I was planning on buying another) and same everything.I think I will just buy an SSD now,as they are comparably priced to this.I just don't get the price,as I know I for sure didn't get a $70.00 discount when I bought this.

Cons: Price ?

5 out of 5 eggsWow

Pros: Bought in May 2006. Moved 6 times since then to different states. Drives are still going strong. Very happy with this purchase.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: When these were bought, they were pretty decent storage size. Time to shop for bigger drives. I will not replace these until the new ones prove they are just as good.

5 out of 5 eggsstill working eight years later

Pros: Just wanted to say how impressed I am with WD drives. Eight years at 7200 RPM and still SMART says it's great.

Cons: None. Wish it was bigger of course.. now.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive

Pros: Ordered 4 drives on my last personal build back in May 2007. Today August 2013 one drive has failed. It lasted 6 years 3 months, others still run great!

Cons: Didn't last forever.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome drives

Pros: Fast, even by today's standards.
I've had two of these for over 7 years and they continue to work flawlessly. WD black drives are truly worth it.

Cons: A bit pricey, considering all the competition these days from slower, high capacity drives and SSDs, but it's hard to beat the reputation of WD blacks

5 out of 5 eggsEnergizer Bunny

Pros: I bought at least a dozen of these.

Still have most of them.

Zero failures.

Cons: Discontinued

Other Thoughts: The capacity seemed infinite when I bought them. Now with SSDs, 250GB is large again.

Too bad they are no longer available.
