5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: Half-a-year in action, works fine. I've had good luck with IBM/Hitachi HDDs so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Comments: Had this drive for 2 months and it's wonderful. Very fast seek times and *NO NOISE*, even when running high-stress applications. I can safely say this is the quietest drive I've ever owned, and I've only actually heard it spin two or three times. Fast shipping as always, Thanks newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Pretty Good

Comments: I've had this drive for about nine months now, and its worked great so far. However, when the drive is really taxed, it can slow down a bit. For example, whenever I open my music folder, it takes like 10-15 seconds to load. However, I do have all of my 8500+ mp3 files in the one big folder which may have something to do with it. But otherwise, hard drive is very responsive, and so far, very reliable. If you have the money though, look into a 10,000 RPM drive, as those are probably a lot faster.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT

Comments: PUT 2 OF THESE IN RAID 0 IN MY RIG AROUND CHRISTMAS, AND HAVE NEVER EVEN HAD A HICCUP. FAST, QUIET, RELIABLE, AND EASY TO SET UP. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

4 out of 5 eggsHad a problem

Comments: I grabbed 2 of these, back in christmas 04 a few months ago. One for me and my brother. One worked fine even until now and the other crashed once. After a few attempts I had it back up and its been fine since, dont know if I would trust these for secure data, but for games and whatever it would do the job well.

Comments: Bought one of these in November, worked great. Sandra drive index of 45-48MB/s. Just got my second one the other day and set up a RAID0, index is now 93-95MB/s.. These drives are incredibly fast.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: Got on of these within 3 days. Put it in my new computer and its running great! I give this a 5 out of 5... I always heard this harddrive was called the deathstar (Its an IBM Hitachi Deskstar) and that it was loud but I dont agree. Did a chkdsk and everything was fine. So to rap this review up, its silent, fast (On windows xp screen, it takes 2 times for the bars to go side by side before it loads up, took 7 times on my friends western digital with the same capacity) and it can go Molex or SATA power connectors (Great for the old PSU's that don't have a SATA power connector)

I give it a 5 out of 5, Nothing bad to say about this harddrive, its doing everything perfect

Comments: I bought 2 of these and have them running in RAID Zero Stripe and the average read using HDtach is 97.7 as opposed to 48 running single.Would never run single SATA again.

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth it

Comments: I had bought one of these for a new build last week. After seeing the benchmarks of 49MBs I ordered another for RAID 0. I expect the speed to go up 30%.

Very quiet, has onboard temp sensor, and dual power connectors for SATA or Legacy. Note to buy cables, as it is the drive only.
highly recommended.
