Very quiet and works great in a ThinkPad

Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Supports the IDLE IMMEDIATE ATA command with the UNLOAD option, which is required for the ThinkPad Active Protection System. Considerably quieter than my old 80GB drive.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I did my research before choosing this drive and I'm very satisfied with the product.

Pros: Using this in an ENERMAX Jazz 2.5" USB 2.0 external enclosure (Item#:N82E16817194024). Good for backups of HD movies and shows, as well as GP (gigapixel) pictures. Doesn't tend to overheat, haven't had a failure or a problem at all. Recognized in Windows 7 and was simply plug and play

Cons: 5400 RPM is a bit slow than optimal speed if you're looking for something to use to stream HD content onto a PC, 7200 RPM is ideal for that kind of work.

Nice little drive

Pros: Massive amount of storage for $50 after rebates....great bargain. Worked right out of the box, no fuss.

Cons: I won't call the drive noisy, but it is louder then the toshiba that it replaced...at least while it is spinning. When it is writing/reading I can't hear it click clacking which is nice. This is all in a quiet room as well.

Other Thoughts: I can also feel it spinning in the laptop, unlike my old toshiba. No big deal though
