Pros: 16mb cache & its better than the one i had before, i was using a western digital 160GB from 5 years ago and just failed on me and i wanted to try something that everyone doesn't have.
Cons: none so far.

Quiet, fast, great for Raid 1

Pros: I bought 4 of these HITACHI hard drives and I will be buying more. I have two in a new build Windows 7 65-bit and two in an Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit desktop running in Raid 1 configuration. I had zero problems getting these drives installed and they are indeed very forgiving when working between Linux and Windows... they never once choked on reformats even when going from Windows to Linux and back. They are quiet and very fast.
