Pros: Price was right and was skeptical about HGST.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Almost going on 4 years now and this is still rocking in my old gamer rig. Sure I am on a different machine now and this one maybe gets used once or twice a week for maybe 5 or so hours but first two years I pounded this drive with no issues.

Other Thoughts: have two of these drives in a machine that runs 24/7-365 for more than three years now. :)

Pros: None

Cons: Goes bad and makes clicking noises, I have 3 other 1 TB drives and they don't make this noise at all. The drive could fail any minute

Pros: Commodity 1TB disk.
Inexpensive.
Reliable.

Cons: First unit came damaged and I didn't open the box immediately, but New Egg RMA'ed it even a bit after the nominal deadline (Thanks New Egg!).

Other Thoughts: Was used as a backup drive in a sata-dock. It got a fair bit of use for about a year and since has mostly sat offline in storage.

Pros: It did get used off and on for a few years.

Cons: It blew up two weeks after its warranty with only sporatic use.

Other Thoughts: I have 2GB drives that are more that 15 years old. They have more than 10 times the mileage, and still work. Hitachi drives are junk.

Pros: Good speeds,

Cons: loud, doesnt last long, heats up

Other Thoughts: Great hdd, however it is a little loud and it died on me only after two years, but its a good thing that hsgt has long warranties. I was able to get it replaced, so we will see how long the new one lasts

Pros: Reasonable cost

Cons: One disk has 903 reallocated sectors after 1 year of usage. Number increased daily in last week of usage.
Second disk has 1 offline uncorrectable sectors, 235 reallocated sectors.
