5 out of 5 eggsPortable, Quiet, and FAST

Pros: It's small, light, stays cool, and fast. Moved 8GB of VMs last night in about four minutes. All the engineers want one after seeing mine.

Cons: For me, none.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your laptop is running at USB2.0. I just got a Latitude D620 that was set to only use USB1.1. The BIOS appeared to be optimized for power savings. This has nothing to do with the drive, but you're wasting your money on this drive if you're not using USB2.0. Buy it and start smiling!

I have no opinion on the software as I have no plans to use it.

5 out of 5 eggsFast and cool

Pros: Fast enough to run a Virtual Machine from and still be a nice external image backup device for my notebook.

Cons: None; 7200 RPM and 100 GB makes it worth the slight premium.

Other Thoughts: I got one of these from Dell before NewEgg started carrying it. I would have bought it from NewEgg, but it simply wasn't available until now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat drive so far!

Pros: Works great out of the box. Compact enough, feels VERY sturdy and well-constructed. It has plenty of ventilation and runs much cooler than I had expected. My previous external drives were 3.5" drives in 3rd-party enclosures, so I'm really impressed with the size and the fact that it is USB-powered. This is very easy to slide into my laptop bag.

Cons: Price is high at $205
