5 out of 5 eggs5yrs and going

Pros: i have had this drive for 5 years now and never had an issue works solid and good performance

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: i have 2 of these in raid 0 for my games drive been running for 5 years only things i haven't changed in my system. I get what would be comparable performance to a raptor drive i look to buy new segates in the future for a later build but the perf and reliability from these has made it pointless so far.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for a while.

Pros: It was quiet, fast, and cheap.

Cons: Failed after about 1yr use, bios detects it, so does ubcd/seatools, but it tells me its 0gb capacaty and has been overheated. there is no way it overheated in my system, airflow is no problem here, believe me. so im stuck with a dead drive deciding whether to try seagates rma or just suck it up and put the money towards a bigger drive that doesnt have the quality issues the 7200.11s are known for.

Other Thoughts: Seagate was my 1st choice when i built this system, I guess quality has gone down since that old 27gb bulletproof drive I had in my old pc. a lot of people said Maxtor was poor quality but i have 2 200gb maxtors that have outlasted this seagate by years.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well in RAID0

Pros: Decent price, came packaged well, run quiet

Cons: None. Seems as if there are a lot of DOA's, but I bought two of these in Dec '09 and both have been running fine ever since.

1 out of 5 eggsVery unsatisfied! :(

Pros: None

Cons: The drive was DOA. It cost me $8.20 to return ship. I pay for the drive and some additional shipping because of seagate or newegg's fault. Drive was shipped in non-static sensitive bubble wrap. Seagate RMA specifically states that this will void the warranty.

Other Thoughts: Good going Newegg. I want my money back, but I feel this is a lost cause and will end up costing me more money and time and still only get me a low quality drive that was either poorly manufactured or was poorly handled by Newegg. You are taking a chance by purchasing this drive. It has a very high failure rate. Keep in mind that most people probably won't put a review here, but 3 other people that I had emailed about this drive and how great of a deal it was all received dead non-functioning drives.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat's Up With Seagate

Pros: Waiting to see.....

Cons: Ordered 2 and 1 was DOA. I have replaced 6 Seagate HD's in the last 3 months (various models). Where did Seagate's quality control go? They used to be the best....now considering a different brand. The customers I support can't tolerate these miserable failure rates.

Other Thoughts: C'mon Seagate......get back on track!!!

5 out of 5 eggsDon't no what all the fuss is about

Pros: It is great i am having no problems with it. It is a bit small as in capacity but other that than its fine.

Cons: Runs a little hot but that probably because of how hot my comp can get.
