Cons: Noisy in customer VAIO laptop.

Pros: replaced 80gb laptop hd with this, 500gb gives my 3yr old HP laptop its final upgrade, i can continue to use photoshop with the laptop (camera files are huge) and keep playing World of Warcraft with it. the recovery disks for the laptop worked flawlessly with the new hd.

Cons: the laptop seems to hang sometimes with WoW, i'm not sure if it is the HD or just the laptop showing its age, i didn't notice the problem before the HD, but who knows.

Other Thoughts: i wish i could find a cheap enclosure for the 80gb hd that came out of the laptop.

Incompatible with Lenovo X200

Pros: Seagate durability
Capacity

Cons: The firmware is incompatible with some Lenovo laptops and unless the drive has been sourced from lenovo the firmware update does not work. Thus the drive was useless to me and I returned for a refund.

Other Thoughts: This adverse factor should be drawn to prospective purchasers' attention.
