2 out of 5 eggsHas some bugs in it

Pros: Plays most all media files. Cheap compared to others of this type. Small footprint. Ability to connect two drives to it at the same time.

Cons: Remote is nearly useless. Poor reliability.

Other Thoughts: When it works it works very well. It does have 2 major problems. First the remote or unit, I'm not sure which one doesn't like the other one. You can press the remote and be 2 feet from it and it may accept the command to go up or down, or it might decide that you pressed enter instead of the down arrow... or it might decide you pressed the arrow 2 times instead of the 1 time you pressed it... In other words using the remote is often like randomly pressing a button...

Second problem which you can't avoid (you can always press the control buttons on the unit instead of the remote) is that the special bay for seagate freeagent drives is very picky... I have 3 different freeagent drives and they all look identical except that the unit will only actually work with 1 of them. It never recognizes the other two. Now you can hook any of them up to it using a USB cable but you can only get 1 to work by sliding it in the bay that is supposed to be designed for it.
