Pros: Worked out of the box, hooked up perfectly to my Wii and my LG TV.

Pros: Seagate external HD's have served me well in the past, so I expected the same from this one.

Cons: No mention on newegg site that it is not suitable for Mac's, however that information is in bold on the packaging. Checked Seagate site, and yes... this one was not compatible. There are reviews out there for this item that says it is MAC compatible... hated to open the box only to find out it is not.

Other Thoughts: Had to return item. RMA process swift.

Pros: Does everything I expected it to and has decent performance. It has slowed down recently but it's still very tolerable. The best thing is that it has lived for this long

Cons: None really....except that it really isn't worth it's price nowadays. Back then though? Great deal imo.

Other Thoughts: Any external that has lived this long with as much ware and tear that I've wrought it and still shows no signs of death deserves much praise imo.

Pros: Fast drive, easy to deal with, lots of storage.

Cons: Died two months in. Light comes on but no computer can read it. Wife's not happy as she put vacation photos on it. Now dealing with Seagate to try to get the data off of it. Big pain in the neck.

Pros: I bought this drive to replace a failing 500gb WD MyBook that was used to store a music library for an internet radio station. I use online backup and was able to simply plug this drive into another machine and download a copy of my old drive and simply switch them out when I was done. Transition was smooth and there were no problems. The Seagate Dashboard that comes pre-installed on the drive gives some power management options, such when to shut down for inactivity, which in my case I keep it at “Never” as it is used 24/7.

Cons: The only con is a fault of whoever at Seagate packaged it. The box indicated that it comes with a USB 2.0 cable, but there were no cables at all in the box. Luckily I had an extra though, so it was not an issue. Its still nice to get what you paid for though.

Other Thoughts: Loses 1 egg for the lack of the indicated cord on the box

Pros: Works as a WII backup drive. Make sure to get Seagate FreeAgent Drive Utility and uncheck the box to prevent drive from going into low power mode if using as a WII drive!

Cons: Cord is a bit short in length.

Pros: Small and Sleek Fast Transfers. Great for expanding your standard HD.

Other Thoughts: Great price for what you get. Perfect if your looking to free up space on your HD! Buy it you won't be disappointed!

Pros: Silent, quality drive, perfect for backing up an old computer, 320 gb for cheap, Seagate reliability. If your a laptop user I'd highly recommend it to back up your data and store it at home, that way if your battery explodes or airport security confiscates your laptop you don't lose everything.

Cons: The "FreeAgent GoFlex" version adds constant back up and encryption software for $10; but software is available to do that for free.

Other Thoughts: $60 or losing everything?
