I was sold on the first boot. It decreased my 1m25s boot time to just under 40 seconds and that has been improving the more I use it to around 35 seconds now. (W7 64bit) Cons: None as of yet. Other Thoughts: This drive is a great solution to anyone who needs a 500gb drive and is looking for speeds close to a SSD without the price tag! 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? Since the upgrade I've added many movie titles to the hard drive and it's still running as if it were a new drive with nothing on it, fast, fast, fast! Cons: none I can think of Other Thoughts: Talked my sister into purchasing this same drive for her HP laptop. She isn't having the problems she had before the upgrade, so it must be working fine! I Installed it in my macbook pro. The reason I bought it was that it was "hybrid"and offered more storage. Cons: I didnt see any major changes to the speed so the hybrid did not help at all. Broke after just using it for 8 months. My macbook wont boot up anymore and gives me an error and when I try to go into recovery, its not there so I know the drive went bad. Other Thoughts: I don's think I will buy another Segate drive from now on.
