Cons: First drive starting failing a few months after I bought it. RMA'd it and 2 days later the second drive is now failing! Seagate is earning its reputation for unreliability.

Pros: 1 TB for under $50

Cons: Crashed after 4-month. Lost all the data.

Pros: works, isn't noisy, fast for a mech drive.

Cons: none really.

Other Thoughts: buy it when its on sale

I had no issues for most of the time I owned it

Cons: After around two years it started to get bad sectors, and the computer was just slowing down immensely. Around three days ago the computer simply stopped booting in a reasonable time so now I need to replace it

Pros: I love these drives, fast and reliable storage solution.

Cons: Ordered two drives last week and both of them were DOA.
Don't know if it was because of shipping or just a bad batch of drives.

Other Thoughts: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Will update EGG rating when I get the new drives.

Pros: Was fast and quiet. Never got too warm. It did what it was supposed to do.

Cons: Died at the 13 month mark. Started getting bad sectors at month 11 and just progressively got worse.

Other Thoughts: would cost almost as much to ship it for RMA as it would to just buy a new one.
Western Digital here I come.
