Single platter 7200 rpm hard drive is surprisingly speedy with sustained writes above 100 MB/s. I love that you can take off the usb 3 adapter and use it on any other internal hard drive, will be useful. Also thank you seagate for not installing a virtual cd drive parition, just a plain old volume, just what i wanted. Cons: Seagate's website is useless. A ton of redirects, and i couldn't even check for software updates, it just got stuck on "loading" when i selected the model. Definitely needs work.. The main feature is the slim design on this external hdd. It easily fits into my palm and slides easily into the pocket in my pants. It also has a detachable SATA to USB 3.0 adapter that allows you to connect to any internal hdd to access files stored on it. Cons: Can't think of any at the moment.
