Pros: Works great, fast, small, easy to use (with PC-see below), lightweight. Definitely worth the money.

Cons: Wanted a usb drive that easily worked interchangeably between a Mac OSX laptop and Windows 7 PC, but took some messing around with it to make it both readable and writeable when plugged into each operating system. I had to plug it into the PC to format it from NTSC (Mac was read-only at this point) to exFAT. With exFat format, I plugged it back to the mac and now it couldn't see the disk, much less read or write. I went to drive utilities to delete the exFat partition, which caused my Mac to automatically created another partition in regular Fat format, which worked like a charm on both PC and Mac.

Pros: ./ Zero, was ok yet slow when it worked (which it never really did)

Cons: ./ Computer tech for 10+ years, EE graduate, I know what I'm doing, this thing is a piece of sheesh. Was excited about being able to carry almost all my data around, but much like the other reviews listed here, the thing broke about a month in. I have been shopping at NewEgg for a long long time, but this is the first review that I have ever left, simply because I am amazed at just how truely sheesh this thing is.

Other Thoughts: ./ sheesh sheesh sheesh, avoid like the plague. Bought because it was on a really good sale, waste of money, dealing with tech support / warranty not worth the money. I'm guessing they made a batch of lemons and sold them on sale to make up the loss in production. I'm guessing only 1 in 5 customers will know how and go through with the warranty. A truely sheeshee product and that takes a lot for me to say.

Pros: Fast enough that I haven't bothered to benchmark it. Small. Tough case.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this particular device as Toshiba has a long history of producing 2.5 inch drives. So far, I am pleased. The case seems to be of a high quality. I like the rubber on the sides.

Pros: Fast and reliable. Love it so far.

Cons: Collects dust well

Other Thoughts: I needed it for transferring 400gigs of photos to my new computer and it did it much more quickly than expected and didn't get nearly as hot as I was expecting.

Pros: Quiet, fast, small, no external power supply. Fairly large capacity. Rubber sides protect it, nice finish but doesn't attract finger-prints or dust. Windows recognizes it very fast. Worked on Win 7 64-bit no problem.

Cons: Small USB cord. Not really a con for me, makes it more portable. Just buy a USB male to female extension if it bothers you.

Other Thoughts: USB cable is only like 8 inches long. Which might be a con for some. I don't mind because it sits nicely on top of my computer and no cord hangs off to the side. This thing is really small physically, I expected it to be bigger but I could probably put it in my back pocket. There is one light on it to let you know its plugged in. It's not very bright though, and could easily be covered up with a tiny piece of tape.

Pros: Very sleek, sexy design. Small and portable form factor. Barely audible if at all, very quiet. Faster than my 1TB external "green" drive. Was very pleased with the transfer and read speeds. Powered by the included mini-usb cable.

Cons: None that I could think of after having owned it for about a month so far.

Other Thoughts: I love the rubber on the side of the casing, gives you a good grip on the unit. Fantastic drive all-in-all. I love it. Could stick this drive in your pocket (or purse for the ladies) and bring it with you anywhere.

Pros: Small...smaller then my WD Elements I bought late 2009. Quiet. 500GB is plenty to back up the laptop.

Cons: Nothing much. I guess it could be faster but what do you want for such a small drive that runs off USB power?

Other Thoughts: Got it on a shell shocker...cheap and free shipping. I have been orderinging from newegg since 2001!

Pros: Small, black, easy to plug in. Doesn't require another power cord.

Cons: Said it was compatible with both windows & mac. Only works with pc. If you want to use it with a mac you have to wipe it clean & reformat it. That's not "compatible" in my book.

Other Thoughts: Hey newegg, if you guys want to send me the one for mac i'll gladly send this back to you.

Pros: Sustained write speeds around 95Mbit/s, read speed around 175Mbit/s. Quiet. Doesn't get too hot.

Cons: It's not a velicoraptor.

Pros: Its light. Sleek. Fast. Material is good. Cheap. can be used as bootable device.

Cons: none. the backup software crashed and didn't work propery on my stripped down windows xp.

Pros: Small, lightweight, quiet, solid construction, USB cable isn't loose when plugged in, great price, self powered, good warranty.

Other Thoughts: Got this drive to use with my PS3 to play .MP4 rips, works great I can stream a 1080p rip on the PS3 no problems. When I got it I wrote approximately 71GB to the drive, took about 45 minutes to copy which averages out to about 25.6MB/s. Very good speed for such a little drive. This is a great drive for anybody who needs a small, lightweight hard drive for their computer (or PS3) and I might be buying another soon for backups of my laptop. This is the first Toshiba hard drive that I have ever purchased (I usually buy WD or SG) and I would buy it again if given the choice.

Pros: -Very small: smaller than it looks in the pictures and small enough to take anywhere
-Attractive: the glossy top and bottom don't smudge easily and the sides are rubberized; the led is quite dim and not distracting at all
-Reasonably fast: seeing 20-25 MB/s consistently on several different machines
-USB powered: very convenient
-Backup software: it was free, seems to be a good deal even if I'll never use it
-3 year warranty: need I explain this?

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: Excellent deal for a great quality little drive.

Pros: Loads quick. Very fast for a USB 2.0; tried on both my new Windows 7 Laptop and my old Vista desktop. Faster transfer than all of my other external harddrives.

It also draws power from one of my Laptop USB ports that is weak and wont power any other 2.5" drives.

Cons: Back Up software was annoying and I removed it shortly after instalation!
