Pros: Cheap,,,

Cons: Drive lasted about 2 weeks....Sent in for warranty, they replaced with refurb drive which would get warning errors everytime it was used... after about two months turned computer on and smoke came rolling out....sent it in for warranty,,,warranty will not replace it because it has burned connector.....Never buy Toshiba drives ....

Pros: This is an amazingly fast drive, only stating 32 mb cache, but my windows 10 bot time form shutdown is less than 20 seconds. I've had this over 1.5 years, almost 2 and had no problems with it.

Other Thoughts: recommend for anyone looking for a cheap Hard drive solution. it is fast and cheap, the value is great

-Plug and play no problem

Cons: -biting my nails every time I use this drive because every time i start my machine i can hear it click.. (if you have had a failing hard drive you know that click...) its only been 2 weeks since i started using it and its only got 355 gb used.
-if it does end up failing, i will be cheesed cause it doesn't look like Toshiba does much for their customers.
-Next time im definitely going with WD or segate for mechanical drives.

Other Thoughts: Only really bought this cause it was on sale for like 40 bucks, if its anymore than that I honestly would spend the extra money and get a reliable drive. If you move your computer around a lot I couldn't see this drive lasting very long. I have also heard that these are really re-branded Hitachi and IBM drives. I just don't like having a piece of hardware that I know is eventually going to fail. 2 eggs cause it wasn't DOA

Pros: Quiet! Fast for a data drive! I am using an SSD as boot drive and this drive as just storage and its perfect for that.

Cons: This hard drive is junk........only 2 month life, then show up " need repair or format the hard drive". After formatted, still same.

Pros: Just got to the drive (setting up new system). Purchased it in August, and now that I am ready to use it; it is DOA.

Cons: What more can I say!

Pros: Drives are inexpensive, good capacity and good performance.

Cons: 1 out of 2 DT01ACA100 1TB drives I ordered on 3/2013 died 9/2015. WD diags fails the drive as having too many bad sectors.

Other Thoughts: This is an update to my previous review. The DT01ACA300 3TB drive I ordered about the same time is still ok, as is the other 1TB. The computer (and others) declared the failing drive un-formatted. After formatting again, I re-installed a backup image. The drive will boot and run Windows, but I will not use it as a primary drive any more. Both of the 1TB drives are now relegated to backup / scratch. Considering now what to do about the 3TB, as it has not failed yet.
