Pros: I like Toshiba HDD's, have had good luck with them. Have a number of them, but of the previous model.

Cons: I do notice that the previous model had a 3 year warranty; this newer model only has 2. Haven't ever had to use it, but always nice to see a company stand behind their products. Seems 2 year is now the standard (though HGST Deskstars still have a 3 year warranty)..

Other Thoughts: I rigorously test any HDD first: LONG format, then a full chkdsk drive_letter /x /v /f /r /b
After that, a stablebit scanner (software product) scan.

Pros: Wonderfully low price, huge storage. I had maxed out all my data drives, 1 250GB. 1 500GB, 1 720GB and 1 1TB. This drive holds all they stored and more. Will get another one soon.

Cons: It isn't an SSD and it isn't bigger.

Other Thoughts: Had trouble moving the data on the 720 GB drive to this one because I broke the plastic surrounding the SATA port, so it would come undone and I had to copy little bits of it at a time.

Pros: Quiet, Smooth operation, and fast

Cons: The specs say "Retail Kit" but does not come with any screws or Sata Cable. I can't take off a star for that? Can I?

Other Thoughts: Not really a con but you only get 2.72 TB of useable space but I was expecting this.

Pros: - Fast speeds
- Works just fine, no hiccups

Cons: -Kinda loud, but who's putting their ears against their computer anyways? Can't hear it with headphones on.
