GETCHU SOME!
- Pros: Fast. Reliable using hardware raid. Rock solid drives since the move to hardware raid. Good performance.
- Cons: There must be a compatability issue with the x48 chipset (ICH9R). Tried every chipset driver Got Vista 64 running 3 times and all three times the drives eventually got corrupted.
- Other Thoughts: GETCHU SOME! If my Rampage Extreme would hold more, I would.
Great Drive
- Pros: Fast. Averages 80mb/sec write and has a burst speed over over 150mb/sec. Lots of space. Quiet. Great price.
- Cons: Does exactly what I expected it to, so none.
- Other Thoughts: Actually came with mounting screws which was nice. Had 700GB out of 750 free. Seems bad, but is actually more space than you get with most brands.
For the price it's awesome!
- Pros: I have had this for several months now and it is a solid Hard Drive. Decent amount of space and it's Samsung, so you will get a top notch product with top notch warrenties. It has 32mb buffer memory, 7200rpm and has 750 gig of space. Kicking price for a kicking product.
- Cons: Too bad it's not a 10,000RPM or 15,000RPM, but for 64.99 which is what I paid this is as good as it gets. Maybe the 10,000rpm and 15,000 rpm drives will come down in price eventually.
- Other Thoughts: I may order another one and do a raid 0 in the near future.
