SAMSUNG EcoGreen F2 HD103SI 1TB 5400 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Pros: Lasted me over 3 years, no big deal.

This thing is a champion, fell out of my case and smashed against concrete from about 5 feet in the air... still works.

Cons: -5400 RPM is getting a little old

Pros: Pretty fast for a SATA drive. Has a ton of space.

Cons: Didn't last! I had this hard drive in use since August 2011. and this week it fried. I lost all my data...Some school work, Work work, and my Resume! Back to the drawing board.

Other Thoughts: The warranty is 3 years so I am within range. Hopefully Samsung will compensate me for everything I have lost!

Pros: Quite, fast, reliable

Cons: can't think of any

Other Thoughts: Now that I see it, price was a little high for a 1TB drive

Pros: Bought in 2009.... paid 100.00.
Finally overheated. and I WAS WORKING IT WAYYY TOO HARD. 48 hours of hell wrapped in a blanket. this thing held up in a long drawn out battle.

Cons: it didn't make it to 2014?

Pros: Large storage, fairly quiet.

Cons: Hard drive, while it works, takes a while to start up regardless of external interface, chipset / controller, or cable.

Other Thoughts: Hard drive was purchased about 3 years ago, so might be on its last legs.

Pros: nothing that puts it above other hard drives

Cons: nothing so far.

Other Thoughts: It's a good basic drive. Not the fastest one out there but it works.

Pros: -Cheap (Was even cheaper back when I got it)
-1TB

Cons: -5400 RPM, although for the price this is not a con

Other Thoughts: Large capacity and good performance. Made a great upgrade for a relative's PC. Upgraded from 160GB SATA to 1TB + 160GB SATA drives, and there have been no issues since the install.

Pros: Still working as back up HD inside HDD enclosure.

Cons: 18 months ago, this was only fifty-five bucks. Today, more than double. Wow!

Other Thoughts: Wish I would of bought 100 of them and flipped it back out to double profit. J/K...kinda ;)

Pros: I bought this thing almost 5 months ago and still haven't been able to fill half of it up. It gives me exactly what I need and I have absolutely no complaints.

Cons: Not the fastest on the market, but good enough for me.

Other Thoughts: Bought this on 09/06/2011 for $54.99 with a $10 new member rebate for a grand total of $44.99 with free shipping. Wait for the price to drop again. It now costs a hundred more dollars than what I payed for it.

Pros: I put four of these in a budget fileserver to stream some movies to XBMC. They did what I wanted.

Cons: After a little over a year, two of them are clicking. They are under warranty though, and I hope Seagate honors the warranty on these drives as they have purchased Samsungs hard drive division. We shall see...
