Pros: The drive is quiet, BIG, and runs cool. The green features make it excellent for what I need. This is being used as a part of a home media server NAS. So, the start-up delay others have discussed doesn't bother me.

The drive feels well built, and looks good. As a shell shocker, the price can't be beat

Pros: Solid device to backup my photos. I got two of them so I can rotate them off site. Nothing blazing but a worry free backup.

Cons: Drive takes a while to spin back up but as a backup device that's really not that big of a deal.
