Other Thoughts: replaced a dead laptop hard drive with the spinpoint, and install windows 7 on it , runs fast, fast boot, fast shut down.

Pros: I have purchased 2 of these drives. One of them being about a year old now and neither of them have given me any trouble with day-to-day use.

Cons: 5400rmp but with an ssd you can't really tell the difference.

Pros: Low price, worked at first

Cons: Went bad quickly.

Other Thoughts: I've had this drive for about 4-5 months, it was not DOA but started giving me bluescreen errors and freezes after only a couple of days, which increased in frequency over time until it finally died last week. And I don't know if this can be blamed on the drive itself, but various diagnostic programs indicated there was no problem with it and I never got the "your hard drive is failing" warning that Windows gave me with the drive I had replaced (which is currently back in my computer until the new one from WD shows up). But sure enough, even putting this one in an external enclosure, the contents are now inaccessible and "You must format this drive before you can use it." I read bad reviews of other Samsung (actually Seagate) drives and decided to chance it anyway because prices on other brands were high at the time, but the savings weren't worth it. I recommend avoiding this product.

Pros: 2nd disk I received had no issues

Cons: - Bad sectors with 1st disk received (Knocked an egg)

Other Thoughts: Besides the RMA, I have no issues with this Hard drive. A client needed a new hard drive on a budget but needed some space for files, so this was a perfect size and cost purchase

Pros: I have a launch system 60gig PS3... I was easily able to upgrade. All that was needed was a flash drive 32gig, I ran the backup system on the ps3 to the flash.. replaced the old 60gig for the 320gig.. Took less than 5 minutes..

Cons: none so far....

Other Thoughts: I feel silly that I didn't upgrade sooner.. I was intimidated by the whole process, but after doing it once.. It couldn't be easier...

Pros: Super quiet, great price, name branded, full warranty.

Cons: Not 6Gb/s ;)

Other Thoughts: Even though it's not a 6Gb/s drive, all my files are read and written super quickly. Samsung makes a great product and has A+ support in my book!

Pros: Worked perfectly. Cloned my smaller hard drive without a fuss. So far so good. Prompt shipping.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this for a customer's computer because he dropped the laptop when the drive was spinning and ended up causing some damage. I threw this in his laptop and also upgraded it from vista to 7. He said it works well and the overall laptop is better now thanks to the new drive and windows 7. I'd recommend the drive. It's a good price.

Pros: Was...affordable.

Other Thoughts: Works just fine. Used this to replace a friend's bad HDD; she says, "Thanks, Newegg!"
