Pros: Looks so good that anyone who sees it has something nice to say about it. The price is very good as well. I got this 3 months ago and I like it so much that i'm getting another one for my gf's b-day.
I have macbook pro. It's not equipped with a 3.0 USB port. However this harddrive reads/writes much faster than my other USB 2.0 external harddrive. Love the speed!

Cons: None yet.

Cons: FAILED HAD TO RETURN IT. AFTER 1 WEEK IT FAILED, GREAT AFTER I HAD TRANSFERRED DOCS AND PICS, IT JUST STOPPED WORKING.....CONTACTED SEAGATE BUT THEY COULDN'T HELP ME FIX IT. SO I HAVE TO RMA...CURRENTLY WAITING FOR THEM TO SHIP ME ANOTHER ONE ...NOT HAPPY

Pros: It's quiet, small and light. Using it for network storage - pictures, music etc... It does not seem to run hot and it does work very fast. I am quite impressed with it.

Cons: It has software on it but I just selected all the files and hit cut and pasted them into an empty folder on my laptop then deleted that file. No big deal.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone looking for a llot of storage for a reasonable price. Keeping in mind that i have not had it long if something turns up that makes it less of a good thing i will post up but for now I am really impressed.

and UPS doesnt deliver on weekends
so i had to weight for 5 days for the device.

not sure about the reliability of the drive.

Pros: 1 Terabyte Large Size. Black is nice. Requires only 1 USB Connector. Comes with a leather carrying sleeve to put it in.

I get around 60-110mb/sec depending on kind of files. Most files are above 80mb/sec.

Cons: For the rookies out there this may be a real stumper, that is why I take off 1 egg. The Samsung Utility that is included with the drive didn't work for me. I kept getting file transfer errors. The fix for me was to back up the samsung software from this drive elsewhere, just in case i had to restore it before i warrantied the drive. Then I formatted the drive using 64k clusters (why? I don't know, just because) and after formatting the drive the Samsung Utility software was gone! YES! Now I have just a plain empty drive!!! WOW!!! and no more file transfer errors!!! It is fixed!!! Don't forget to uninstall the Samsung Utility off your pc as you won't need it anymore. Just Click MY COMPUTER and access the drive manually and your on easy street!!!

Other say this is a SEAGATE drive with a SAMSUNG enclosure... SEAGATE and SAMSUNG have been good to me. I am still happy.

Pros: Physical small size and finish are very nice. The rubberized bottom makes it set nice and firm on top of the BluRay player without any fear of it scratching the BluRay player's top.

The drive is quiet enough that I can't hear it in the enviroment that I'm using it in. The little blue access light is just about right on brightness... bright enough to see, but not distracting.

My new LG BluRay player recognized & powered the drive with no problems. Just received the drive a few hours ago, so I can't speak to longevity.

The drive comes preformatted to NTFS, which was a plus in my case.

Cons: The drive does come with some Samsung stuff already installed on it. I don't really care for that on external HDDs or thumb drives. But most seem to do it these days. Still, I not taking off an egg for that because it's too easy get rid of if you don't like it.

Other Thoughts: The USB cable is short, just like any USB powered drive. So it would be nice to NOT see people list that as a "con" (like I've seen on other models). That's just the nature of USB powered drives.

I'm obviously not using this drive in USB 3.0 mode, so I can't speak to the 3.0 speed.

This drive appears to be a perfect match with the LG BP620 BluRay player (which just happens to have a 1TB external USB limit). My days of burning plastic media are pretty much over now.

Time will tell about it's durability. But for now, I'm very pleased with this drive for how I intend to use it.

Pros: I just backed up 325GB worth of data (Music and Videos) in less than 15 minutes. Quick IMO.

Cons: Short cable length (~1 ft)

Other Thoughts: Previously had a WD External HD that was way too bulky and got hot after continual usage. This HD is a much better choice.

Pros: 931GB usable, seems to be of solid build quality, though I haven't slung it against the wall to test that. It has a blue status light that compliments the style of the drive. I'm not seeing bad speeds either. The cable fits snug in the drive, doesn't feel loose at all. Comes with a little case.

Cons: None really, it is a Seagate HDD, not a bad thing, they have a bad rep, I've seen a few fail, I've had none fail on me. However, I was expecting a Samsung drive. Not a con, just a grip.

Other Thoughts: Want a good cheap portable drive that has decent storage space? BUY IT.

Pros: It's very pleasing to look at. It has a rubbery texture on the bottom so its very hard for it to slip off your desk. Plus the blue LED is very tasteful.

Cons: Unfortunately, I bought this drive thinking Samsung was using its own OEM drives, it turns out it's a Seagate drive with a Samsung case. Seagate is not known for its reliability. (At least in my experience)

Other Thoughts: I use this in USB 2.0 mode, so giving you guys a HDtach benchmark would be pointless.
