Cons: Isn't recognized at bootup and you have to unplug the usb cord and put it back in for it to do so.

Sleeps way too frequently which causes lag when running scheduled backups.

Other Thoughts: I only bought it because it was on sale and for the price, even a bad drive would have been good.

I probably will never go Samsung again since they don't support their drives directly and have never resolved any issues I brought up.

Basically you get what you pay for.

Pros: Lasted long enough to put in 1.8 tb and break off the internal usb.

Cons: Discontinued after the children used to make them reached the WORTHLESS limit. Television YES. Anything else no. NEWEGG blocks unflattering reviews.

Other Thoughts: Load your shopping cart with expensive items and leave them there.

Pros: Better place than Las Vegas to throw your money away!

Cons: This product was stationary and never moved at all. When booting up one morning the drive was not recognized and I find the connection on the drive floating unattached to the board. It is still well under warranty but there is not a chance on earth that I would let the drive and its data out of my sight for one nano second so warranty work is out of the question. I will have a local shop repair the connection under my supervision saving my data and voiding my warranty. Samsung makes good TV's not drives. STAY AWAY!

Other Thoughts: turned my computer on one morning and everything was OK. Came back 4 hours later and the drive was dead.
Spins up, but none of my computers see a drive.

Pros: Quiet and runs cool.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Owned drive for several months now as a secondary data drive, still working fine.

Needed an internal, but this drive by itself ($90) was cheaper than buying just an internal drive, so I bought this, removed the drive, and kept the case and accessories as a USB/SATA adapter.

I purchased an OEM 2TB Samsung drive with a Rosewill enclosure about 3 years ago and that unit has been running great as well.

Pros: None

Cons: - Slow as hell
- Not recognized on my computer
- Dead within 2 months of purchase

Other Thoughts: what a piece of junk, and of course it's after the 30 days so Newegg won't accept their shoddy junk they're peddling back.

Pros: This is an external hard drive, that is supposed to turn off when computer shuts down. However it does not turn on.

Cons: There is no tech support or customer service. They have subbed their tech out to SeaGate, If I wanted a Seagate, I would have bought one instead I bought Samsung.and there is no one to help. I waited on hold for 75 mins and still no one can return the product. I told the it was DOA out of the box they said New Egg was not an appropriate seller of their products!?! Really? What does that mean? New Egg is no longer selling this HD and won't back it either.

Other Thoughts: So in other words only spend $100 if you want a fancy new paper weight~

Pros: Nice internal drive.

Cons: External enclosure failed after 38 days of infrequent use. The 2T drive inside is fine, the USB interface refuses to power up the drive.

Buy it only if it is a good price for a Samsung internal 2TB drive and you are comfortable with disassembling the enclosure.

Pros: good drive, good price

Cons: drive died after a week, got no help from NewEgg, said I needed to contact Samsung. I think they should have replaced it no questions asked. Now I have to deal with Samsung
