Reliability when you need it for your home or work.
Pros: +Works like a champ since the moment I open it. (Make sure you do a full format for data reliability, is worth the wait. Takes about 3-5 hours to do a full format on this 2 TB one.Varies with sizes of course.)
Cons: None so far.
Other Thoughts: I read on the 1TB version some guy had issues copying the drive or cloning it. But I presume that was either the user mistake or the device error. Now in my many years of experience a lot of times users tend to be the problem. But anything is possible. I did a fresh Install and I have done cloning with no issues. Could had being the software of lack of knowledge I can't tell. Also take into mind that this HardDiskDrive will encrypt the data randomly inside as is fed with it.. This could make some cloning tools useless I would think.

iMac HD upgrade
Pros: This was an upgrade HD for what I suspected might be a failing, or at the very least overworked HD that shipped with my iMac in early '07. It was actually a harder swap than anticipated, but still doable. The real beauty of the thing is how much faster that computer runs with both Mac and Windows programs (parallels) compared to before. 128MB cache is really apparent, and a much needed relief (it was especially sluggish in some Windows apps, made more apparent when in a browser window on the Mac side)
Cons: My wife complains of the fan noise coming from the computer. Not sure if the HD is running hotter than the last one, but the fan is pretty much running non-stop. Also could be a loose connection on the heat monitoring sensor on the HD itself (held in place by glue). So overall, it's now a noisy Mac.
