Pros: This drive is what my laptop came with stock and it's been amazing so far with no troubles and extremely fast. My gaming laptop is 2 years old now and I needed an upgrade in storage so I decided to add another TB of what was already in it because its been so great.

I use the new drive with an external docking bay because it runs very hot installed in my laptop for some reason but it runs with the external bay fine, still somewhat hot but it performs fine. I didn't get to use it as long as I'd like installed internally but while I had it installed it would run flawlessly and very quick until it got hot.

Cons: Seemed way hotter than it should be, possibly because my laptop case isn't huge and my fan is on the right side of my case while my storage slot is on the left, maybe it didn't get adequate airflow because of that but I had to uninstall it because it kept getting hot and once that happened it would run very sluggish and usually freeze my laptop up. Now that I use it externally it doesn't get nearly as hot but still doesn't seem like it should get as hot as it does so I rarely use it, only to store gameplay footage for later editing, because I'm afraid it may fail or something.

Other Thoughts: Would highly recommend if you only plan to have 1 in a laptop. If you plan to have more than 1 of these installed make sure you have a big laptop case that has a lot of airflow because it's not for laptops that don't have a lot of fans because it gets extremely hot and overheats other components as well.

Pros: -much faster then my old HDD. booted 5 times faster.

Cons: after a few weeks i got an mbr 3 error. before i could get around to fixing it the drive stopped recognizing windows and would not boot. i then reloaded windows 10 on it, ran it for another couple of weeks, and got the same mbr 3 error and then the drive again wouldn't recognize windows and wouldn't boot. i can only assume that the nand flash ram was bad and it kept corrupting the mbr. just going to trash it and either get an ssd or a 7200 drive. it took me forever to load all my programs to the momentus st TWICE and in the end all I got was a hard drive that wouldn't boot. save up your money and get an SSD. Even a fast regular hard drive would be better since it is far more reliable. Don't waste it on this. its a great idea but it isn't reliable. it ended up being a total waste of time and money.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else because it is so unreliable. seagate should make sure it actually works before selling it to the public. it has been my worst hard drive purchase ever.

Pros: I bought this a while ago for my PS4 an it worked perfect and it also has a lot of room to spare for video recording or screenshots

Cons: last time I check around people said it wasn't a good idea to put your ps4 in standby with this SSHD an I liked the standby feature on the PS4

Cons: Garbage

Other Thoughts: Bought 2. One is dead, and one works. They don't seem any faster than a regular drive. I cannot recommend these and expected better from Seagate.

Pros: good drive to store stuff in, since it's a hybrid, anything that you use frequently in the drive is speed up, though that's the theory.

Pros: this is a great little drive i have seen zero problems just all the benefits.

Pros: It does exactly what Seagate said. Fast boot ups, SSD like performance, great alternative to SSD drive (If you can't afford one).
A lot of storage space. One more thing I love is that the drive is super quiet. you don't even hear it when it is running nor feel it.

Other Thoughts: Great Hard drive technology if you cannot afford a full SSD. No complaints, no cons. works great with MacBook laptops. The NAND SSD make it faster in boot ups just like an SSD. Web browsing is super fast as well. Great product.

Pros: Works faster than the previous drive. Nice to have the hard drive space.

Cons: Seagate installation software was cumbersome and ineffectual when cloning a hard drive from an HP Elitebook 8540w.

Other Thoughts: Installed on an Elitebook 8540w. Seagate DiscWizard was unable to properly clone hard drives with the necessary partition sizes...at least beyond my own abilities or time. Did myself a favor and used the software that came with an Apricorn SATA wire 3.0 (EZ Gig IV Cloning software). It worked like a charm, seamlessly.

Pros: I bought a new laptop with a A10-5750M, 8GB ram & a 1TB drive with Windows 8.1. Before I even ran it I ordered this drive & 16GB of g.skill ram. I booted the laptop, yawn, and made not of the hardware then removed the OE drive. I installed this drive and Windows 7. During the install it was rebooting faster than I could enter the BIOS. Reboots as quick as 14 seconds and on average cold boots as quick as 31 seconds.

For years Seagate has been my go to brand for hard drives. Between overall reliability and low noise they can't be beat. I have some Seagate drives approaching 10 years old and they still work and are quiet.

Cons: Not really a con just a preference. I would like to see these drives have 16-32GB flash drive & 7200RPM.

Seriously, no matter the age of the machine these drives will wake them up.

Other Thoughts: I will & do recommend this product. I will buy more of these. These are a great compromise between full blown SSD and even a 7200RPM HDD.
