Pros: Price per gig is very good. Portability is good.
Cons: Seagate portable drives have been extremely unreliable. I have had several and they tend to die after the 10 month - 1 year mark. I have had several over the past couple of years and now will not buy another Seagate drive. If your data is critical - forget Seagate portable drives.

Pretty good little external ard drive for it's price
Pros: I've had this external hard drive to this date and it hasn't failed me...yet. So far I can't really say anything else but it's lasting a good at least 6 months to a year. also it quiet (most likely how it's suppose to be) and never rattles, random beeps (if it could beep XD) or barks...anyway, I've dropped it a few times but not full on smash it through my hard wood floor but a good 3 foot drop from my desk and has survived and lived to not speak...ever. The little flashing light is a good heads up to let you know if it's "ejected" and you forgot and you're wondering my it's not showing up on our PC later on.
Cons: It won't talk to me when I'm alone XD
Other Thoughts: In the end I recommend getting this if you want to use this for any reason like you just wanna store vids or music and you HDD is only like 250GB for some reason and you don't wanna buy a cheap 1TB HDD that's sluggish. Also take advantage of it's USB 3.0 thing it REALLY speeds up the transfer rate. I used a 2.0 port and was gonna take about 35 minutes to transfer something, I then switched it to a 3.0 port and it said it would only take about 8 minutes WOW a SIGNIFICANT jump in transfer rate.
