I am no expert, but I must say that the answer is,No, this hard drive will not fit inside of the notebook computer that you listed as the drive itself is a lot larger than the one that came with your notebook computer. I recommend that you look into a laptop hard drive as Newegg has an assortment of hard drives that may fit your needs and inside of your hp notebook as well.

This drives are empty, they do not contain an Operating System(OS) or data beyond what is needed for them to operate(firmware).  You have to install OS of your choice depending on the hardware you have. Check paid software manufacturer websites or freeware OS under the General Public License(GNU) for hardware specifications.

Is this a SATA II drive? And any issues using RAID 5 with these drives?

This would be a SATA III, 6GB throughput. But they are backward compatible.  As for RAID, now you are getting into some muddy waters.  Google TLER/RAID issues on consumer drives for more info. But depending on your RAID controller, etc you may go through frequent false drive failures and rebuilds.  As for WD Red (NAS) drives, they have changed the firmware in the last couple of years to where those drives also suffer from TLER issues.  If you need a drive for a true RAID with controller, (Hardware RAID), then your only bet is a Enterprise class drive.  Look at WD SE drives. They are usually only a 15% markup

This drive is used in multiple applications due to its seemingly consistent reliability/It is great for surveillance DVR applications, All in One PC's, DVR systems that have pre-installed units for replacement and for DVR Systems that dont have a pre-installed factory HDD. The Read/Write ability is capable of SATA III interfae with blazing fast 6/Gb's/s and or older systems that are SATA II only @ 3Gb's/s respectively. The 7200 RPM speed is what makes it a viable option, Even in High Touch Environments. These Drives endure and score well on the million + hours MTBF and AFR testings{Failure Rates} with low failure rates even though this testing does not apply to a single unit testing it is a benchmark to show the relability for this drive to be amonst the best performers out there. These drives are known for having the Lowest Power consuption per unit and can withstand extremly hot environments-Ambient and internal temps as well. They remaining functioning properly at temps between 41'-140' F without failing. I would totally recommend these drives for a DVR application and have used them in numerous ways except NAS(Network Attached) Storage Devices but I hear they even out-perform in this application as well. Good Luck with your build, upgrade or whatever your intent and I would and will continue to buy these drives-Including the refurbished ones that I have not had any problems with whatsoever.

Could these rebuilt drives have many spinning hours on them?

Most drives have a bathtub life cycle, fail at the beginning or end but usually not in the middle. Statically an RMA drive still has a lot of life in it, if not all since people RMA good drive since they don't know what they are doing.
