Pros: You must immediately upon receipt check with Seagate that there is at least 4 yrs 10 month left of the Seagate warranty. If so register the drives. If not or no warranty at all as there are a lot of bad drives out there immediately return to Newegg. Only accept 5 year warranty from Seagate itself. If all is well then do a raid 0 with two drives or a raid 5 with 3. Your score will be at the top of the Passmark Web Site that scores hard drives. Obviously you need a 12 gb/s SAS Enterprise Controller like say Intel RS3DC080 or equivalent and correct harness and battery for the raid controller.

Cons: These drives are very expensive but superior performance by far to SATA 3 ( 6 gb/s ) and 5 year warranty not 2. On the longer warranty alone they are worth the price. Buy them rather than 6 gb/s drives even if you not have the 12 gb/s raid controller as they backwards compatible and about the same price as the 6's.

Other Thoughts: they are rock stable , faster than SSD's if you have battery on controller and do read ahead, write back and cache.
nice to have a 24TB c: drive. Pay attention to the special harness needed to go from controller to your drive array.

Since I am running these in a HP Z820, they had to throttle back to 6Gb/s. No issues with this.
