This review is from: Seagate ST2000VN000 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive
Pros: Saved $20 a drive over a new unit
Cons: (2) of the (5) drives I purchased are having Smart errors, one seriously (at 803 errors and counting). Refurbs come with a 90 day NewEgg return, but fortunately the manufacture's 3 year still applies (per the Seagate site), but the countdown started from the original, not my, purchase date. NewEgg wants ~$12 to return the drive and a few weeks to return me a replacement. Went directly to Seagate who is advance shipping me a replacement - a much MUCH better deal for a NAS drive currently in an array.
Other Thoughts: With a 40% failure rate and the time its taking to rebuild my NAS and deal with the defective drives, the $20/unit savings was simply not worth it.
