Cons: it's taking forever to get to the next phase of storage capacity... its heavy (not a con but an observation) Other Thoughts: There was a price drop and the drive was available for $230 est. I needed to finish populating my QNAP NAS, I had read the reviews re: and the Seagates seemed to last a long time... for $1250, you get 5 x 6TB drives and another $500 the 5 bay QNAP NAS. Cons: Because of the number of platters, the mounting holes are non-standard. I could not easily mount this in a Node 804 (maybe an adapter somewhere) and had to modify the bracket in a Node 304 to make it fit. It's been a long time since I needed to modify a HD bracket to fit something. Just something to be aware of going in. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? I almost bought a WD Red drive, but I'm very glad I waited for the new Seagate high-capacity NAS drives. The drive runs cool and is really quick for reading and writing data. Cons: These drives are a bit pricy, but good quality equipment THAT WILL LAST, is never usually cheap. Other Thoughts: I have several RAID arrays, and use Seagate NAS drives in all of them.
