4 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Box

Pros: -Easy to setup
-With upgraded firmware allows for customized website
-great response time and speed

Cons: - only one drive so make sure you only use as a backup drive and not the sole drive

Other Thoughts: I'm planning on purchasing another NAS, similar to this one and just replicating the drive.

Pros: Affordably priced, includes ethernet cable, USB port for additional drive

Cons: Cumbersomely slow and unresponsive, constantly locked up when trying to get set up or perform simple tasks.

Pros: NAS device. Good as NAS in a home setting where you want to let the device determine how it is used. I did manage to map it as a network location and do backups via drag-&-drop with Win Server 2012 Essentials. Transfer runs fairly quick and smooth.

Cons: Haven't found a way to reformat to get rid of the built-in features and make it a bare NAS device. Haven't found a way to manage it in Server 2012. OS ignores it and it is not available for storage pool or backup. May have to remove it from the enclosure and mount into the machine to format it.

Other Thoughts: I will coax it into submission :) Purchased for use in a small business environment. I'll probably add another drive in the server and run RAID-5.
